In Pine Bluff there was a tragic accident that caused five people to lose their lives. The accident happened around 12:30 Saturday afternoon, eight miles south of Pine Bluff on highway 425. Sadly, four of those who lost their live were children.

Roy Lee Jordan from Benton, Mississippi was traveling north on Highway 425 when his truck crossed the center line. The semi crashed into the victim's car taking their lives. The family who we lost was Laketria Wells and her four children, Lakiya Wells, Caleb Stokes, Keyshon Wells, and Lakayla Wells. Please remember this family in your prayers and thoughts.

As usually with semi wrecks, the semi demolished the family's car. Witnesses say the accident could have been caused by a drowsy driver.

This is a sad but true problem that lies with the trucking industry...driving longer than their eyes can stay open. So many of the trucking companies push their drivers to drive more and more miles with incentives that create these drowsy situations. A thorough and complete investigation needs to take place to uncover the cause of this family's lives.
